Terms and Conditions

Our independent tour itineraries make excellent use of Greyhound Vacations' established network of daily sightseeing tours and schedules. You will be traveling independently, without an escort, meeting different guests and a different driver/guide daily. Note: new friends you make on your tour may not be staying at your hotel or using the same services.

Bookings: Please choose your tour, departure date, hotel grade and meal plan to match your requirements. For best tour selection, reservations should be made at least 45 days prior to departure. Limited space is available up to a few days before departure, and may result in less satisfactory tour arrangements due to lack of hotel or space availability in a particular resort or tour segment.

Last minute bookings: Depending on space availability, bookings can be made up to the date of departure. For bookings within 45 days, we will begin checking tour availability ONLY if we have guarantee of payment (credit card number).

Rates: All prices quoted are per person and shown in United States currency. It should be understood that the rates in this brochure include our administration, planning and operational expenses. All rates include federal and, in Canada, provincial sales and goods and services (GST) taxes. All rates are subject to change without notice.

Children's rates: Children's rates are available upon request.

Taxes: Greyhound Vacations tour services in this brochure quote prices inclusive of sales tax and GST. Non-Canadian residents who purchase their Greyhound Vacations tours from within Canada will be charged the full GST amount. A claim for partial rebate on the GST can be made with Revenue Canada. Commission will not be paid on the GST portion of the package tour.

Deposit: Greyhound Vacations requires a deposit of 10% (but not less than $50 or greater than $200) on a per person basis. Special event deposits may vary based on event.

Final payment: Final payment is required in our office 45 days prior to tour departure. Tours booked within 45 days of departure require a credit card number to guarantee full payment for the booking.

Form of payment: Greyhound Vacations accepts VISA, MasterCard, and American Express or net agency check. Agency or personal checks must be drawn on U.S. bank accounts. Any NSF checks will incur a $25.00 charge.

Documentation: Documents will be sent from our office 14 days prior to departure. If a late booking does not allow us to provide you with travel documents prior to your departure, they will be available from our representative at the point of arrival on your day of travel. All rush and/or overnight deliveries within the 14 days will incur an added surcharge at the customer's expense.

Changes to reservation: If you wish to make any changes to your reservation after confirmation, we will do our utmost to satisfy your requirements. For changes that result in a reduction of services and/or for changes within 40 days, a charge of $25 per booking will be applied. If your change results in cancellation of any services and Greyhound Vacations incurs charges, these charges will be applied to your account.

Hotels: Hotel accommodations have been selected based on our own rating systems. The best available hotels have been chosen in three categories: moderate, superior, and premium.

Accommodation: Greyhound Vacations does not guarantee any type of hotel bedding accommodations. All properties are contracted on a "run of the house" basis, which means you will have a standard room which may be located in any part of the hotel. Hotel management makes all room assignments, and Greyhound Vacations has no control over which room you will receive. If the requested hotel is unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute hotel accommodations of a similar grade. Special requests will be communicated to hotel management, however, accommodations may not be possible. It is standard policy that hotel rooms are not available for check-in before 3:00 p.m. in the U.S. and 4:00 p.m. in Canada. Check-out times are between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Meals: Tours will include meals only when specified.

Gratuities: Hotel baggage gratuities and gratuities on included meals are not included in package price. Driver/guide, transfer driver and all other train station Red Cap gratuities are not included.
